Lobby and reception
Create a recognisable first impression from the moment guests arrive.
Industries, Hotels
We make fragrance experiences for boutique hotels, hotel groups, resorts and hospitality spaces. From lobby and reception areas to suites, spas and hotel shops, we shape hotel fragrance around identity, interior, service and the rhythm of arrival and return.

The first impression often begins in the lobby, at reception or in the spaces where guests arrive, wait, meet and return. Fragrance can help give those moments a recognisable atmosphere, aligned with the character of the hotel and the expectations of its guests.
For many hotels, scent has become part of the level of care guests expect. The difference lies in how it is approached. A hotel fragrance should not feel separate from the space. It should support the interior, the service and the atmosphere guests remember after their stay. An unscented hotel is still a choice. Just not a conscious one.
A hotel scent should never feel like a standard fragrance chosen after the space has been carefully developed. It needs to relate to the materials, architecture, service, guest profile and atmosphere of the hotel.
That is why we start by understanding the character of the place. A boutique hotel, resort, airport lounge or hotel group each asks for a different level of presence, diffusion and fragrance direction. The result should feel recognisable, refined and naturally connected to the environment.

Hotel scenting can be used in the spaces where atmosphere, arrival and recognition matter most. The right approach depends on the layout of the hotel, the rhythm of guest movement and the role each area plays in the overall experience.
Create a recognisable first impression from the moment guests arrive.
Support the atmosphere between arrival, movement and retreat.
Extend the fragrance experience into selected private spaces with care and balance.
Align scent with the atmosphere, materials and pace of the wellness environment.
Create a considered fragrance experience for business, private or hosted moments.
Translate the hotel fragrance into reed diffusers, room sprays, candles or other products guests can take home.
For hotels, the fragrance route is shaped by the role scent needs to play: atmosphere in the space, a signature scent, a product guests can take home, or a combination of these. Some hotels select from our Scent Library; others need a bespoke composition developed around the identity, interior and atmosphere of the hotel. For spatial scenting, we then define how the chosen fragrance should be diffused, so it is experienced with balance, consistency and the right presence in each area.

01
We begin with the identity, interior, guest profile, layout and character of the hotel.
02
We advise whether the project is best served by the Scent Library, bespoke fragrance creation, professional scent diffusion, branded products or a combination of these.
03
We select a fitting composition from our Scent Library or develop a bespoke fragrance around the character of the hotel.
04
For spatial scenting, we advise on placement, intensity, timing and maintenance so the fragrance has the right level of presence in each area.
05
Where relevant, the hotel fragrance can be translated into room sprays, reed diffusers, candles, hand soap or other branded products.
06
After implementation, we refine the scent experience through careful adjustments in diffusion intensity, placement, timing and use per area.

Case Study
For August Antwerp, Nose and Partners developed a fragrance that reflects the historic and architectural character of the hotel. The scent was implemented in carefully selected spaces and extended into interior essentials, including a room spray and reed diffuser.

A former Augustinian monastery transformed into a refined hotel experience, with a fragrance composition shaped around architecture, materiality and atmosphere.

Hotel scenting is the professional use of fragrance in selected hotel spaces, such as lobbies, reception areas, corridors, suites, wellness areas or hotel shops. The fragrance should support the character of the hotel and the way guests experience the space.
Not always. Some hotels are best served by a fragrance selected from our Scent Library. Others need a bespoke composition developed around the identity, interior, materials and atmosphere of the hotel. We advise which route fits the project.
Scent can be considered for lobbies, reception areas, corridors, suites, wellness spaces, meeting rooms, event spaces and hotel shops. The right locations depend on the layout of the hotel and the role each area plays in the guest experience.
We advise on the right diffusion setup, placement, intensity and timing. The goal is a balanced fragrance experience that feels present, controlled and connected to the space.
