Industries, Interior Design

You design what people see. We help shape what they feel.

We make fragrance experiences for interior designers, stylists, creative studios and architects. From studio fragrance and branded products to scent diffusion for carefully developed interiors, we shape fragrance around material direction, atmosphere and spatial identity.

Interior design environment scented by Nose and Partners

Interiors are experienced beyond what can be seen.

A carefully developed interior is built through material, proportion, light, texture, sound and use. Fragrance can become part of that composition when it is approached with the same care as the other elements that shape the space.

For interior designers, scent can add another dimension to a studio, showroom or client project. It can support the spatial identity of an environment, reflect the materials and atmosphere of a concept, or become part of the designer’s own brand. An unscented space is still a choice. Most designers have made every other one deliberately.

For your studio, your brand and the spaces you create.

Interior designers work at the intersection of space, material and identity. Fragrance can support that work as part of your own studio experience, as a branded product for clients or as a spatial layer within the interiors you create.

A project may begin with a candle, reed diffuser or room spray developed for the designer’s own brand. It may also begin with scent diffusion for a studio, showroom or client environment. In each case, the fragrance should feel connected to the concept, materials and atmosphere it becomes part of.

Fragrance as part of the design language.

For designers, fragrance can become part of the way a space is introduced, remembered and carried beyond the project. The right application depends on whether scent supports the studio identity, the client environment, a branded object or a handover moment.

    From material direction to fragrance.

Interior projects often begin with materials, proportions, textures, light and the way a space should be used. We approach fragrance through that same design lens, so the scent direction feels connected to the concept rather than added afterwards.

    1. 01

      Understanding the design context

We begin with the studio, client, concept, materials, intended use and spatial identity of the project.

    2. 02

      Defining the role of fragrance

We define whether fragrance should support the studio identity, a client interior, a showroom, a product line, a gift or a combination of these.

    3. 03

      Selecting or creating the composition

We select a fitting composition from our Scent Library or develop a bespoke fragrance around the material direction, atmosphere and intended experience.

    4. 04

      Planning spatial implementation

For scent diffusion, we advise on placement, intensity, timing and use, so the fragrance has the right level of presence in the space.

    5. 05

      Translating fragrance into products

Where relevant, the fragrance can be developed into candles, reed diffusers, room sprays or other branded products connected to the studio or project.

    6. 06

      Refinement and production guidance

We refine the scent experience, advise on product routes and guide the practical steps needed for implementation or production.

    Case Study

    Fragrance within a design environment.

For Studio des Bouvrie, Nose and Partners developed a long-standing fragrance collaboration connected to Het Arsenaal, the studio’s carefully composed design environment. Multiple scent diffusers were placed throughout the space, and the collaboration extended into the Samsara and Naga fragrance collections.

Questions about fragrance for interior design.

Can interior designers develop their own fragrance products?

Yes. Interior designers can develop candles, reed diffusers, room sprays or other branded fragrance products for their studio, clients, launches or selected projects.

Do minimum quantities apply for branded fragrance products?

Yes. Minimum quantities depend on the product type, fragrance route and level of personalisation. For interior designers and studios, we can often advise on more accessible product routes, especially when working with a fragrance from our Scent Library.

Can fragrance be used in client projects?

Yes. Fragrance can be introduced as part of a carefully developed interior, aligned with the concept, materials, intended use and atmosphere of the space.

Do we need a bespoke fragrance?

Not always. Some projects are best served by a composition from our Scent Library. Others ask for a bespoke fragrance developed around the materials, spatial identity and atmosphere of the project.

Can you scent a studio or showroom?

Yes. We can advise on professional scent diffusion for studios, showrooms, presentation spaces and selected client environments.

Can designers introduce Nose and Partners to their clients?

Yes. We regularly work with designers, studios and creative partners who introduce fragrance as part of a wider interior, hospitality, retail or residential project.

Can we experience the fragrances first?

Yes. We can help you experience the quality and character of our fragrance compositions. For design projects, we first learn more about your studio, concept or client environment, so the sample selection is relevant to your context.

Can fragrance products be used as client gifts?

Yes. Fragrance products such as candles, reed diffusers or room sprays can be developed as gifts for clients, project handovers, launches or studio moments.
