01 — What it is

What a private label fragrance manufacturer does

A private label fragrance manufacturer produces a scent under your brand, while carrying the production chain. You define direction, audience and identity. We translate that into a formula, a bottle and a package that read as one on the shelf.

What separates this from a generic label is the fit between oil, glass and decoration. A scent that does not match its bottle loses strength; a bottle without a story is never picked up. We work with perfumers, glassmakers and decoration partners at fine-fragrance level, not mass-market shortcuts.

The track runs in stages: creative briefing, formula development with a perfumer, bottle and cap selection from a stock collection or via a custom-mould route, decoration (print, coating, hot stamp) and secondary packaging. At the end sits the regulatory layer: CPSR safety assessment, EU notification (CPNP), labelling and dossiers for the EU market.

The result is a product you can sell yourself, in your boutique, webshop or through distribution, with a production chain that scales without diluting the identity.

02 — Who it is for

For brands, retail, hotels and beauty founders

For brands extending their visual identity into scent. A perfume that lives next to the collection on the shelf.

Boutiques and retail

For independent retail that wants something not carried elsewhere. Smaller runs, high finish, own SKU.

Hotels and interior brands

For houses commercialising their signature scent as a product. From reed diffuser to eau de parfum.

03 — How it works

From brief to dossier

  1. 01

    Brief

We discuss brand, audience, price segment and the feeling the scent should carry.

  2. 02

    Formula

A perfumer translates the brief into a composition. You smell, direct, we refine.

  3. 03

    Bottle and cap

Selection from the stock collection, or a custom-mould route when the shape must carry the brand.

  4. 04

    Decoration

Print, coating, hot stamp or label. Matched to material, run size and feel.

  5. 05

    Secondary packaging

Box, insert, gift set. Material and finish match the positioning.

  6. 06

    Regulatory

CPSR safety assessment, CPNP notification and labelling for the EU market.

  7. 07

    Production and delivery

Filling, assembly and packing at our production partners. Batch-traceable.

05 — Our approach

Our approach

We have worked for years with brands, hotels and retailers on private label fragrance. The approach is precise: sharpen the brief first, then the formula, then glass and decoration. Every stage runs through a single point of contact; perfumer, glass, print and dossier meet at our desk. Where it fits, we start with a limited run to test shape and formula before a larger production goes live.

06 — Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

What is the minimum order quantity?

It depends on the product and bottle. Smaller runs are possible for home fragrance than for eau de parfum in a custom bottle. We align MOQ per project based on the chosen route.

How long does a private label project take?

A home-fragrance track with a stock bottle typically moves faster than a fine-fragrance track with a custom mould and full regulatory dossier. We map the timeline for your scenario in the brief.

Can I use an existing bottle or do we develop a new one?

Both. We work with stock collections and with custom-mould tracks. The choice depends on run size, positioning and tooling budget.

How is safety and EU notification handled?

We arrange the CPSR safety assessment, CPNP notification and labelling in line with EU Cosmetics Regulation 1223/2009. You receive the dossiers so the product is ready for the EU market.

Who owns the formula?

We agree this per project. For bespoke development, exclusivity is normally part of the track; for compositions from an existing library it can differ. We discuss this up front.

Do you also handle secondary packaging and gift sets?

Yes. Box, insert, gift set and decoration sit in the same track. That is the point of a one-stop private label: one chain instead of three suppliers.

Do you only work in the EU?

Our focus is the EU market and its dossiers. For export outside the EU we look per case at what additional paperwork is needed.

Do you provide a pre-production sample before the full run?

Where it fits, we start with a limited pre-production sample so you can check shape and formula before the larger run goes live. Whether that is possible depends on the route, bottle and decoration; we discuss it per project.
